Happy 1 week birthday to the Krinkle Kids!

Not much to report, as the pups are still in eat-sleep-eat-sleep-eat-sleep mode.   Benjamin surpassed his birthweight for the first time since day 1, making it up to 151 grams today.  This is a huge step, as he had backslid all the way down to 122 grams (about 4 oz) at one point.  He continues to get fed by syringe every 2 hours, around the clock, but today we are going to try a bottle again, just to see if we can recover his suckling response.

The rest of the gang are absolute POTATOES, to steal a phrase from my friend and whippet owner, Heather Princehorn.  At this point, they resemble little bulldogs much more than whippets!  Their mama Dots was very similar as a pup, always looking like a little pitbull until her nose and legs sprouted.

So far, Tommi is our 'talker'...she talks whenever she wakes up and is hungry, and then proceeds to also talk WHILE she's eating.  :)

On to some pics - I keep forgetting to add...if you want to enlarge, just click on any pic:

What do you do when mom is tired of nursing and wants a break, so she lies on her belly?  You get creative and start nursing from either side!

Buggy Ding Dong, and a bit of Spinner Dunn & Smoochy at the milkbar.

Tommi - surfing over Buggy and Spinner, looking for the perfect spot at the bar.

Rainbow Randolph slept through the weigh-in this morning.

    1. They ARE so squishy. :) And I just wish Miss Tommi girl would talk QUIETLY at night. :) The whelping pool is about 4 feet from my side of the bed, and it never fails, when I'm up feeding Benjamin in the wee hours, she's quiet as a mouse...but the moment I go back to bed to grab an hour or two of sleep, she starts in. Silly girl.
